This is a photo from Saturday right after completing Week 1 Day 1 of Couch to 5K again. I was surprised at how difficult it was. It was a good decision to start at the beginning - I almost started on week 3-4.
Today I did Week 1 Day 2 of Couch to 5K and I was really drained. It’s hard to believe how much I’ve slipped. Not too long ago, I could have done week 1 of C25K 10 times in a row. Now I’m struggling to get through it once. Yikes.
I had a couple of bad things to eat this weekend but I’m back on track! Eggs & fried bologna for breakfast, chipotle salad for lunch, and we’re about to have slow cooker beef with broccoli, carrots, and mushrooms.
I just wanted to post this as motivation. Quality kinda sucks but that’s the skinniest picture of me that I could find next to the picture of me from Monday. Judging by my other weigh-ins around Feb 07, 2012, I was probably somewhere between 215 and 220 in the picture to the left. The weight to the right is 249.6 =(
Scrambled Eggs (3) and Fried Bologna (3). 6g net carbs (from the bologna) and delicious. Probably should have only had 2 pieces of bologna but it just smelled too delicious.
Well… it got worse. It feels like this entire year has been one hell of a struggle. Looking back at weigh-in pictures over the past year:
Those are just some of the highlights… As of this past Monday (the 21st), I’m only about 15 lbs shy of my “start weight” from Nov 18, 2011. Looking at my weight logs since then, the lowest I got was 211.4 on Aug 9, 2012 - a little over a year ago. Since then I have gained 38.2 lbs. It hasn’t been an entirely upward climb. There are peaks and valleys but the trend is definitely upward overall. It’s time to get this under control. I want to be back around 210-220.
Over the past week I have been sticking to a pretty strict low-carb diet (aside from yesterday). We won’t discuss yesterday. I need to get back into running again as well. I never felt better than when I was on a low-carb diet, running, and losing weight. I had so much energy. I just felt great.
Let’s do this.
Fitocracy Workout -
Last post for the day - I promise! I did some sprints, some situps, some pushups, some concentration curls, and some tricep kickbacks. Man tricep kickbacks are hard!
